Creating Safe Lawns for Dogs

As an organic lawn care company, Greenwise cares about safe lawns for our environment, and dogs are right up there too. If you are a dog owner, you know your dog's snout is always rooting around in the grass, sniffing out scents. That is why it is so important to ensure your lawn and the lawns in your neighborhood are pesticide free.

Just walking on a lawn that has been treated with chemicals can cause rashes and allergic reactions to a dog's paws. Organic lawn care practices help create safe outdoor spaces where dogs can play and explore without exposure to harmful chemicals.

Introducing Ourselves to New Communities

Since we want dogs to be safe outdoors, it is only natural that we would help sponsor the Hinsdale Humane Society as a way to introduce ourselves to the new community we are serving surrounding the Hinsdale, Western Springs, La Grange, and Brookfield areas.

This sponsorship allows us to support animal welfare while connecting with community members who share our values around creating safe outdoor spaces for pets and families.

Sponsoring Summer Camp for Kids

This summer, we are co-sponsoring the Hinsdale Humane Society's popular summer kids camp. Kids enjoy summer camp where they learn pet care basics, build adaptation skills, discuss resilience, play games, and enjoy hands-on time interacting with pets within a safe, welcoming camp setting.

Greenwise also participates in the camp's environment day where we teach the kids about pollinators and native plants, and why we do not want pesticides hurting our pets, ourselves, or our pollinators. Our hope is to grow future environmental stewards.
